The 'Best' Method
I think I need clarify the term 'best' as used on the 'rocks' page. I don't want to imply that the 'rocks' method is better than any other method. I mean to say that I am looking for the method that is 'best' for me. So far, this one is. It suits my curious personality. That doesn't even mean that I will continue to use this method indefinitely. Right now I'm like a little kid with a new toy. Everything about it is exciting right down to watching a seed sprout.
Lynn in Midland, Texas has found a method that works 'best' for her. Like me, she's curious about what's happening under the dirt and pokes around because she needs to know. She's an old 'soaker' and she now blends her 'soak' with the 'rocks'. Once she sees the little white pearl in her 'soak' container she transfers the seed to her 'rocks' container. It's an extra step before the dirt but it satisfies her personality.
I suspect that if someone checks in with me in say 3-4 years, I will be stuffing my seeds into the outdoor soil in May and muttering, "Sink or swim, I don't care." under my breath. :)
